Title

A stunning bright yellow solid body electric guitar of the shape and style made famous by Prince. This was one of his main personal guitars from the late 1980s to the mid 1990s. All the hardware is gold-colored: Schaller tuners, a Floyd Rose Original tremolo (with bar), one volume knob, one tone knob, a three-way switch, nut, and truss rod cover. The pickups are both from EMG -- the bridge pickup is a humbucker and the neck pickup is a single coil. The markers on the twenty-two fret neck (both front and top) are his "spade" symbol. On the back of the body is the original label: "Property of PRN MUSIC CORP. PM 16644". The custom hard case has an identical tag with the serial number of 16643. Included are seven original Prince guitar picks of six different designs and colors -- very collectible in their own right. Excellent in appearance. A very rare opportunity.
This instrument was used on recording and at performances for several years until the neck broke in France. His guitar technician at the time was Zeke Clark and included is a letter from him giving its history: "This Yellow Cloud guitar was Princes main guitar & used in most of his early videos & touring performances & album recordings. From around 1988-1994. In 1994 he broke the neck of this guitar at a French T.V. show. After returning to U.S.A. I repaired neck & installed the first Floyd Rose set up Prince ever played. And then used in recording more albums, up until the symbol guitar was born. After the symbol guitar he wanted 24 additional cloud guitars made to be sold at his outlet store. The Floyd Rose (yellow cloud) serial P.M. 16644 & case. P.M. 16643 was the 1st. Zeke Clark".
