Bob Marley and the Wailers Original Full Album Cover Press Proofs for Various LPs (1975-1980)

For all our reggae fans and Rastafari followers, here are six rare color cover proofs rescued from destruction by the son of Bert-Co Graphics founder and saved in his personal collection. All are in full color on cardstock and at least 26" x 14" in size, as follows. Live! (Island ILPS 9376, 1975): Two proofs, both initialed as approved, QC and Color, on August 8, 1979. Kayla (Island ILPS 9517, 1978): Two proofs with a superb B&W image of Marley on the front and marijuana-themed artwork on the back. File information on one proof. Uprising (Island ILPS 9596, 1980): One proof of this graphically powerful cover, the final studio album released in Marley's lifetime. Handwritten Color and QC approval dated July 20, 1980. Also, Bunny Wailer Sings the Wailers (Mango MLPS-9629, 1980): One proof of this rarely-seen album where one of the three original Wailers' vocalists (along with Marley and Peter Tosh) records his versions of the band's songs. Initialed and dated (December 17, 1980) at the bottom margin. All are in fine to excellent condition, some with minor creases and staple holes at left margin.
