Janis Joplin Handwritten Address With Original 1968 Handbill

Janis Joplin has handwritten her return address in blue ballpoint pen on this 4 x 6 white envelope. She has also dated it July 31 (she had originally written “August” and then crossed it out). She titles herself “Miss Janis Joplin” and gives her Port Arthur, Texas address. The envelope is accompanied by an original handbill for Big Brother and the Holding Company’s show on Friday April 19, 1968 at the Selland Arena in Fresno, California, measuring approximately 7.5 x 10.75. Both pieces are beautifully framed and mounted to measure 12 x 20.25.
