An RIAA certified gold record sales award prepared during the 1970’s which indicates, “Presented to The Beatles to commemorate the sale of more than one million copies of the Apple Records, Inc. Single Record , 'Hey Jude'. ” This was The Beatles first single released on their Apple Records label and at a playing time of over seven minutes was up to then one of the longest singles to top the charts.
