Led Zeppelin RIAA Gold Record Award (Atlantic SD 8216, 1969)

This debut album for the British band was a top ten chart hit in both the US and UK and is ranked twenty-nine on Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Albums of All Time." According to the plaque beneath the gold disc, this award was "Presented To Led Zeppelin (Robert Plant) To Commemorate The Sale Of More Than One Million Dollars Worth Of The Atlantic Records Long-Playing Record Album Led Zeppelin." Framed to an overall 17.5" x 21.5", and in Excellent condition. This award was part of a large collection that was displayed in the lobby of the California Gold Record Company and was obtained after the company was sold.
